Full-Time Instructor Nursing

Full‑Time Instructor, Nursing (Fall 2026 – Probationary, Tenure‑Track) Department: Nursing and Surgical Technology Campus: Troy, NY Start Date: Fall 2026 Minimum Qualifications Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution (or Bachelor’s in Nursing with current enrollment in a Master’s program and completion by December 2026). Current New York State nursing license and a minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience. Previous college or hospital teaching experience, including experience with clinical performance exams. Availability for evening and/or weekend teaching hours. Preferred: experience or desire to engage in distance‑learning initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities Teach lectures, facilitate discussions, and supervise college lab classes. Supervise clinical practice of student groups (7–9) at off‑campus clinical sites. Make academic decisions as appropriate and correlate classroom and practice learning with course objectives. Volunteer for teaching assignments within a team‑teaching approach. Plan courses for the term in alignment with objectives and design evaluations for laboratories. Discuss nursing care plans or assignments with students and assist in daily laboratory assignment continuity. Prepare and submit grades to the Department Chairperson. Review student progress individually or in groups, recommending actions such as dismissal, probation, or altered program plans. Coordinate with community agencies used for student experiences. Participate in departmental, division‑wide, and college‑wide committees to build community and support professional development. Perform other duties as specified in the Faculty Contract. Salary and Benefits The starting salary for the Fall 2026 academic year is $53,000.00. Two full‑time tenure‑track positions are available, beginning 8/31/2026.
