About the Division: Since 1989, TTUHSC Managed Care has served as a healthcare deliveryservice, providing high quality, low cost healthcare to patientswithin the Texas Department of Criminal Justice system. Major/Essential Functions Makes daily assignments and ensures completion of tasks. Communicates patient data using Electronic Medical Records(EMR) to support decision making and improve patient care. Administers or assists with medication administration anddocumentation. Supports unit goals by attending meetings and sharinginformation with staff. Participates in quality audits. Maintains documentation to ensure standards of care and policycompliance. Conducts job evaluations and handles disciplinary actions. Keeps accurate records of employee performance. Why Join Us? Occasional Duties Contribute flexibly by performing other duties as assigned tosupport patient care and unit operations. Required Qualifications Graduate from an accredited nursing program. Two years of nursingexperience, with at least 6 months of that experience as aRegistered Nurse. Possession of a valid, current RN license asapproved by the Texas State Board of Examiners. Preferred Qualifications Previous Correctional Experience.
