Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Client Rehab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 hours, Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: - Level 1 trauma experience - Competence in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes - Strong MedSurg experience Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse to provide care in a neurology rehabilitation setting. The unit has a total of 52 beds. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6, with supportive technology available. The facility operates under a low stimulation environment. Common diagnoses include traumatic brain injury, brain tumor resection, cerebrovascular accidents, and transplant recovery. Nurses will work as part of an interdisciplinary team and must demonstrate high levels of communication and personal involvement with patients and families. Responsibilities include acute care, IV therapy, and wound management. Successful candidates must pass a dysrhythmia exam and show proficiency in maintaining a sterile field during procedures. Weekend shifts are required, with a quota of 4 total shifts every 4 weeks. Holiday shifts will be integrated into the core rotation. The average length of stay for patients is between 19 to 21 days. The facility features a supportive environment with an available IV team for difficult cases. Nurses will participate in ongoing education related to equipment and policies as they vary between facilities. Charting is completed using an electronic medical record system.
