Summary:

To be the logistical link between the manufacturing plant and the installation destination of all finished goods according to customer specification sheets and company policy.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Maintains proper paperwork accordingly.
2. Notifies supervisor of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective action taken.
3. Communicates every work day with office as to daily activities.
4. Assists in installation and removal of all equipment according to company guidelines and the order list of the customer.
5. All equipment must be transported securely according to state laws and company policy.
6. Repairs and maintains all company property.
7. Maintain proper levels of inventory on company van.
8. Uses cranes, hoists, gauges, drills, grinders, and other specialized tools and equipment.
9. Maintains order and cleanliness of service area of main manufacturing plant facility.
10. Prepares, gathers, and secures all out-of-town orders for transport.
11. Makes sure to return to the manufacturing plant any damaged, used, or unwanted parts from all warehouses.

Job Qualifications & Hazards:

1. Recommended to have a class (A) drivers license with air brakes, but not a requirement.
2. Must have a medical card from the Department of Transportation
3. Occasionally works in a kneeling position subjected to dust, dirt, grease, and wet conditions
4. Frequently works on ladders.
5. Frequently works with electricity
6. Willingness to accept night and weekend callouts (although rare).
7. Drivers must remain insurable by the standards set by the insurance company we normally do business with.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and paperwork. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to lift up to 25 pounds.
