Tempering Operator/Assembly Line

This position is responsible for unloading Custom tempered glass at the Tempering unload. Proper glass handling techniques and minimal quality glass inspection a must. 4/10hr Shifts: Graveyard Monday - Thursday 5:45pm - 4:15am Pay: $20.00+$2.00 Shift Differential Essential Job Functions Read/measure glass accurately with tape measure Check glass quality and be able to indentify basic glass defects Place glass in correct Customer positions into bungees, harps and squeeze racks Should be able to accurately reject glass from bungees and squeeze racks Properly close finished orders Must be able to properly edge delete glass without causing Quality issues Read and fill out proper unload paperwork (run list, packing maps) Should be able to set up customer orders properly Communicate with the Q.A and furnace operator in regards to quality or breakage issues Never allow the line to get backed up with glass Must possess a high sense of urgency Non-essential Job Functions Help out unload packer when able depending on glass production requirements Help out with coating, maintenance and other work station operations if asked Requirements The ability to adhere to the company’s policies, rules and regulations as set forth in the employee handbook Maintain and wear all required personal protective equipment and attend all safety meetings The physical demands of the job: lift 50 pounds, bend, squat, kneel, twist, stand for long periods of time, stretching, pulling and pushing Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.For further information, please review the Know Your Rights notice from the Department of Labor. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cardinal Glass Industries, Inc.
