Specialty: Speech Language Pathologist Discipline: Therapy Start Date: 07/13/2026 Duration: 12 weeks Hours per week: 24 Shift: 9 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Title: SLP: Inpatient Psych Location: Terrell, TX Setting: State Prison Pay Range: $1245 weekly Schedule: Part Time, 3 days a week (flexible on days), Up to 24 hours per week Contract Length: 13 weeks Candidate Type: Local and traveler friendly Requirements 1-2 years of experience as a SLP-CCC Valid SLP-CCC License Willing to obtain Texas licensure Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive‑communication, and swallowing evaluations for patients with behavioral health, developmental, neurological, and psychiatric diagnoses. Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans designed to improve communication, cognitive functioning, social interaction skills, and safe swallowing abilities—ensuring compliance with facility, state, and professional standards. Provide therapeutic interventions for speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive‑linguistic, and dysphagia disorders while monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment plans as clinically indicated. Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members in a secure, structured environment—supporting patient recovery, safety, and quality of life.
