They have extensive knowledge of the care, operation, and overall repair and maintenance of the entire facility, grounds upkeep, and contracted services such as trash, elevator, boiler, HVAC, and window cleaning. Additionally, the Building Maintenance Manager will be responsible for leading the team of technicians and maintenance personnel onsite. Previous supervisory experience is a requirement for the position.ResponsibilitiesPerforms repairs and maintenance and ensures cleanliness of the entire facilityManages contracts and contracted services that pertain to the maintenance of the facility and groundsOversees operation of mechanical and power equipment utilized in the maintenance of the facilityCoordinates exterior property cleaning and maintenance in accordance with company standardsImplements policies and procedures for the Building Maintenance Department, including compliance of all company standards relating to quality of products and servicesResponsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problemsMonitors business volume forecast and plans accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs and other expensesManages department members that may include, but is not limited to: Assistant Maintenance Manager, Housepersons, Carpenters, Security, Electricians, Technicians, Maintenance Staff, and PlumbersAssures that effective orientation and training are given to each new associate. Develops ongoing training programs for departmentResponsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve guest satisfactionCommunicates any changes or new policies and procedures to the department.Regular and reliable attendanceConducts staff meetings with subordinatesEducation and Experience RequirementsAssociate degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience (Degree preference in diesel mechanics, auto mechanics, or small engines).Valid Driver's License and other applicable mechanical/equipment licenses (Boiler, HVAC etc.)Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e., the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English)Working ConditionsFrequently uses handsRegularly stands, walks, sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, and crawlsFrequently lifts, moves, and carries up to 50 pounds; to push or pull up to 100 poundsNormally works near moving mechanical parts, sharp objects, fumes and/or airborne particlesFrequently works in outdoor weather conditionsNoise level is moderateWork weekends and holidaysAbout TroonTroon started as one facility in 1990 and has since grown to become the world's largest professional club management company.
