Outpatient Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist

Job Description

The Outpatient Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist provides health care services by assisting in diagnosis or treatment. This role involves performing CT procedures and related techniques to produce images for interpretation by licensed practitioners. The technologist operates a CT scanner to obtain images that are crucial for the diagnosis and treatment of patient pathologies, utilizing their knowledge of imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy to ensure high-quality images. They modify technical settings and adjust scanning parameters to enhance images while minimizing unnecessary exposure.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams and procedures as requested by the medical staff.
• Assist the Radiologist and other medical staff during exams and procedures.
• Complete all documentation related to the performance and reporting of exams and procedures.
• Retrieve written orders and related health information to ensure timely performance of exams.
• Participate in the monitoring and improvement of quality indicators as described in the strategic plan.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of a Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology program or equivalent.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days of hire.
• Two (2) years of radiology experience as a registered technologist.
• ARRT CT registry eligible.
• Preferred: 1 year post-graduation experience with trauma Radiology.

Schedule

This position operates on a 4-10's Day Shift schedule with no call, no nights, and no weekends.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
