Responsibilities Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Direct and lead assigned team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to deliver age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with nursing standards of care and practice. Deliver patient/family centered care focusing on physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs. Conduct assessment, develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan and implement interventions, coordinate care, provide health teaching and promotion, and evaluate goals and interventions in line with MUSC policies. Maintain a safe, therapeutic and healing environment by ensuring patient privacy and acting in a respectful, accepting and professional manner. Engage in shared governance, peer review and professional development to promote leadership, clinical excellence and effective team skills. Apply care management principles to coordinate efficient delivery of patient care services and identify clinical priorities to improve patient outcomes. Required Minimum Training and Education Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or Nursing License Compact. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations Current South Carolina RN License or multi‑state Nursing License Compact. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross for Healthcare Providers. Physical Requirements Stand, walk, sit continuously while performing job functions. Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, climb stairs, reach in all directions, use both hands and legs, perform repetitive hand and wrist motions, and lift objects up to 50 lbs unassisted or exert up to 50 lbs of force. Maintain 20/40 vision with corrective lenses and work in a latex‑safe environment. Occasional lifting of objects weighing 50 lbs (+/-) unassisted, lift from 36 inches to overhead 25 lbs, and work in dusty areas or confined spaces as needed.
