Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility) for South Carolina
• Previous experience in special education or related classroom settings preferred
• Ability to support students with multiple exceptionalities, ASD, and social-emotional needs
• Understanding of IEP processes and individualized learning strategies
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement customized lesson plans in resource, inclusion, or specialized classrooms
• Monitor, assess, and document student progress toward IEP goals
• Foster a supportive, inclusive environment for students of all backgrounds and needs
• Collaborate with general education staff, families, and support professionals
• Participate in IEP meetings, data collection, and ongoing professional development
• Provide both direct instruction and supplemental support, depending on student needs

This contract position begins August 2026 and ends June 2027. All positions are onsite at elementary or middle school campuses in the greater Beaufort region and Hilton Head Island.
