Remote Tax Professional As an experienced remote tax professional, you will inspire clients to make confident, informed decisions while building client relationships and delivering tax services. Responsibilities Conduct tax interviews with clients and support do‑it‑yourself online tax clients through virtual tools (video conferencing, phone, chat, email). Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services. Communicate and coordinate regularly with leaders and peers about how your remote work is impacting results. Gather and analyze client information, research tax issues using IRS publications, and recommend solutions. Maintain high standards of customer service and comply with IRS and state requirements. Qualifications Experience completing individual tax returns and working in a fast‑paced environment. High school diploma or higher; legal authorization to work in the U.S. Access to high‑speed reliable internet and proficiency with Microsoft Teams and Outlook. Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex tax concepts to clients by phone, email, and chat. Analytical and problem‑solving abilities; successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or an equivalent. Must complete continuing education and meet all IRS and state requirements. Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours a week during peak tax season. Preferred: CPA or Enrolled Agent certification; 5+ years in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax; experience with virtual tax interviews, tax planning, audit support, and sales/marketing.
