Tribal CCVAP Service Manager Full Time Management Anza, CA, US 4 days ago Requisition ID: 1024 Salary Range: $79,550.00 To $87,705.00 Annually The Tribal Victim Services Manager performs supervisory and programmatic administrative duties to ensure effective daily operations of the Cahuilla Consortium Victim Advocacy Program (CCVAP). The Tribal Victim Services Manager assigns and reviews the work of Tribal Victim Advocates, while managing an independent advocacy case load. Additionally, the Tribal Victim Services Manager will perform administrative duties pertaining to accounting, management of personnel, and day‑to‑day functions that support Victim Services Staff and the clientele of the CCVAP. This position will also assist and support the Program Director by providing administrative direction to staff in the Director’s absence, grant management and reporting assistance, case management and tracking victim service data, providing information on program services at events, and by acting as a liaison between the agency and the consortium tribes when necessary or requested. Duties and Responsibilities: Assigns, schedules, and reviews the work of Victim Services Staff; reviews intakes with Victim Services Staff to determine eligibility for CCVAP services; assigns new cases to Victim Services Staff; supports the Victim Services Staff with planning their work and providing guidance and direction on difficult and/or unusual issues; approves emergent and transitional expenditures requested by Victim Services Staff for victims of crime; reviews closed case files and/or active case files to ensure case file compliance; archives closed case files. Performs accounting duties such as entering requisitions into the CBOI accounting software related to advocacy and therapy services for clients and adheres to and supports the budget process and development. Maintain a working knowledge of grant requirements and narratives and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of the CCVAP department and recommend and assist with revisions working directly with the Program Director. Maintain positive and professional relationships with Law Enforcement, Tribal Officials, County Service Professionals, and Community Service Organizations. Authorizes leave requests and schedule modifications for Victim Services Staff while utilizing the CBOI ADP Software. Supports the Program Director with interviewing, hiring, training, and motivating Victim Services Staff; recommends progressive discipline to the Program Director; responds to internal employee grievances as well client grievances; assesses Victim Services Staff training needs and facilitate/research training and development for staff alongside the Program Director; assists the Program Director with compiling client data for federal/state reporting which will include maintaining and managing the client case log; assists the Program Director with accomplishing program goals as outlined in CCVAP grant narratives; Works with Victim Services Staff to identify needs within the community and proposes outreach, prevention, and education activities to the Program Director and Outreach, Prevention, and Education Coordinator; networks with other victim assistance agencies and resource providers; conducts public education and outreach on victim advocacy; represents the program before committees, community groups and agencies as directed by or in the place of the Program Director. Manages a case load of crime victims needing assistance, including establishing contact with crime victims, providing appropriate resource and counseling referrals, providing crisis intervention, assisting with safety planning, providing transportation, providing court accompaniment, including assistance with obtaining protective orders, educating clients on victims’ rights, and providing direct services to victims that will promote healing and resiliency; will assist with working the organization’s hotline on a rotating basis with Victim Services Staff. Develops and implements processes and procedures for daily program operations when revisions are necessary; monitors legislative changes on crime victim issues and recommends program or policy changes to ensure compliance with regulations, rules, and directives. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (in related field i.e. Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, etc.) California or Tribal 40-Hour Certificate for Advocacy in all the following areas: Domestic Violence, Human Trafficking, and Sexual Assault Demonstrate experience in working with individuals or families affected by domestic violence, Sexual Assault, abuse, or crime. Excellent listening and communication skills (writing with accuracy and proficiency) Ability to handle both positive and negative feedback from others. Work independently out in the field with clients without needing direction. Required Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of historical, social, and environmental dynamics relative to Native American families impacted by abuse or trauma. Ability to provide leadership and decision making. Detail-oriented management of case files (strong organizational skills) Ability to multi-task and handle a healthy case load while providing supervision. Strong writing skills with use of proper grammar and mechanics, with college-level reading comprehension. Ability to converse and speak with confidence and assertiveness. Demonstrate an acceptance and respect for cultural diversity including ethnicity, sexual orientation, abilities, and religious backgrounds and an ability to work collaboratively in an ethnically, linguistically, and culturally diverse environment. Ability to handle emotionally stressful situations. Ability to use technology, including programs such as Word, Adobe DC, Excel, Outlook, One Drive, Last Pass, Canva, Case Management program (Vela) that includes a database platform(s) and various social media platforms, as well as the ability to email, text, and answer hotline calls. Pre-Employment Requirements: Must clear extensive law-enforcement background check. TB Test showing negative for infectious tuberculosis (Optional) Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurability. Physical Requirements / Working Environment / Schedule: Able to lift 20 lbs. and assist clients with grocery bags or moving boxes. Able to transport others with ease and drive for extended periods and distances. Flexible schedule: This position requires 24/7 on call with some nights spent away from home for training or in an emergency. Preference in employment is provided to qualified Native American applicants.
