About the Job:
Part-Time Tutor - In-Person Only
- This is an IN-PERSON POSITION. Candidates who are remote should not apply.
- Bachelor's Degree is REQUIRED.
- Weekday availability is STRONGLY ENCOURAGED at this time.
Huntington Learning Center is hiring in-person, part-time tutors who have expertise and experience tutoring SAT and ACT preparation:
- We are also looking for tutors with ability and experience teaching reading comprehension, critical thinking, vocabulary, grammar rules, and writing skills.
- In additiona, we are looking for tutors with ability and experience teaching specific math content ranging from pre-algebra through Calculus BC.
Requirements Include:
- 4-YEAR DEGREE IS REQUIRED: A bachelor's degree is the minimum degree-level requirement.
- This is an IN-PERSON position: A candidate must be able to work in person. Candidates in remote locations should not apply.
- Certification/License a plus, but not required.
- Experience levels can vary - current and retired teachers are encouraged. Professionals with expertise in other subject areas are welcome to apply.
- Must be a caring and qualified professional committed to the success of students.
The Opportunity:
- Bring your skills and expertise to help students develop.
- Flexible, part-time hours - afternoon, evening, weekend, and summer. We are open every day.
- Work with students in a 1-to-1 setting, with the potential to work with 1-3 students as needed.
- There are no lesson plans to write or curriculum to develop.
- No parent-teacher conferences.
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience, capabilities, and availability.
