Personal Training Manager

Personal Training Manager (PTM) leads the personal training team at high‑volume EōS gyms. Reporting to the Fitness Manager, the PTM ensures quality and profitability of the PT department while fostering a positive environment for staff and members. Essential Purpose To improve the quality and maximize the profitability of the personal training team. Responsibilities Serve as the owner/operator of the day‑to‑day management of the personal training staff. Serve as the key business partner to the Fitness Manager on day‑to‑day management of the personal training business. Drive the team to meet (or exceed) all established PT targets each month. Lead the team to deliver high‑value PT orientation sessions that maximize new client acquisition and increase overall PT penetration. Proactively identify and operationalize opportunities to grow and improve the business of the personal training department. Oversee and improve the EōS personal training experience to drive revenue growth and client retention. Own the end‑to‑end management of the trainer lifecycle, from sourcing to hiring to onboarding to ongoing performance management. Lead ongoing trainer coaching and development through scheduled individual and team meetings. Minimize trainer turnover and increase personal trainer tenure through coaching, development, and support. Qualifications At least one year as an EōS personal trainer for internal candidates (or one year of verifiable managerial experience for external candidates). At L2 or Master Coach level as an EōS personal trainer. Enthusiastic about developing teams through education and coaching. Comfortable being held accountable (and holding others accountable) for achieving performance goals and company KPIs. Excellent communicator with high emotional intelligence. Organized, detail‑oriented initiative‑taker who meets deadlines. Requirements Must successfully pass a background check. Must carry a valid Personal Training Certification. CPR certification required within 30 days of hire. Ability to work in a gym setting; move about club floors and rooms; communicate with employees, members, and the public. Ability to bend routinely and lift more than 40 lbs. Ability to use company computer systems, including preparing documents and entering data.
