Job Title: Forklift Driver

Job Description

The Forklift Driver safely operates sit-down forklifts and other material handling equipment to move raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods throughout a manufacturing facility. This role supports production operations by ensuring materials are delivered efficiently, maintaining inventory accuracy, and consistently following all safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts and other material handling equipment to move materials between production, assembly, storage, and shipping areas.
• Load and unload trucks, pallets, racks, and containers safely and efficiently while protecting product integrity.
• Supply production lines with required raw materials and packaging supplies to maintain continuous workflow and minimize downtime.
• Transport finished products from production areas to warehouse and staging locations for shipping and storage.
• Perform order picking activities as needed to support shipping, receiving, and inventory processes.
• Handle packaging tasks to prepare materials and products for storage or shipment in accordance with facility standards.
• Follow all facility safety procedures, including proper forklift operation, safe material handling practices, and use of required personal protective equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area within small work cells to support efficient and safe operations.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate material movements and support production schedules.
• Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or inventory discrepancies to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morehead, KY.

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.50/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Morehead,KY.
