As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals. You will perform these procedures in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner. We prioritize patient care. If you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next opportunity. Your tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes and record dosages for patients in accordance with physicians orders P erform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film Position patients and adjust immobilization devices Compassionately explain procedures to patients and address concerns Monitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentation (MEDITECH) Qualifications: Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT) Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist Current ARRT (N) and/or CNMT certification Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs HCA Florida Largo Hospital is the premier healthcare provider in Pinellas County and beyond with 455 beds and is part of HCA Florida Healthcare, the largest healthcare network in Florida.
