Facility Revenue Manager, Ambulatory Surgery Centers - Remote, M-F

Patient Revenue Management Organization The Patient Revenue Management Organization (PRMO) is the fully integrated, centralized revenue cycle organization that supports the entire Duke Health system in streamlining the revenue cycle, including scheduling, registration, coding, billing, and other essential revenue functions. General Description of the Role Reporting to the PRMO Senior Revenue Manager, the Revenue Manager coordinates activities performed by staff responsible for charge capture, coding, charge entry, insurance follow‑up, reimbursement analysis, and other PRMO functions within the assigned clinical area. The role monitors performance for appointment scheduling, registration, clinic check‑in, and clinic collections, develops and utilizes reports to track financial and operational performance, and recommends changes to charge masters and capture documents to maintain accurate billing and maximize reimbursement. Duties and Responsibilities Revenue Management – 40% Manage revenue cycle–related inquiries and ServiceNow tickets. Monitor key performance indicators and reimbursement changes. Develop and use reports to track financial performance and identify revenue cycle problems. Recommend updates to charge masters and capture documents in compliance with annual CPT/HCPCS and ICD‑10 updates. Research and resolve data issues, implement solutions, and provide education and training to providers and staff. Liaise with management, staff, payers, and other stakeholders. Revenue Cycle Leadership – 30% Facilitate collaboration and strategic planning activities across the revenue cycle. Chair revenue‑oriented workgroups and meetings. Coordinate communications among PRMO, hospitals, and physician practices. Arrange and conduct revenue cycle training activities. Project Management – 20% Manage revenue and compliance projects, including new service requests, annual CPT updates, and re‑engineering of best‑practice workflows. Develop action plans, timelines, and root‑cause analyses; provide creative solutions. Recruit and coordinate cross‑functional resources and teams. Epic Systems Advisory – 10% Specialize in charge capture, reconciliation, and Epic Systems applications. Serve as the EPIC knowledge source for relevant functions and provide training and support. Investigate charge and claim information and navigate information systems. Education Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Experience At least 6+ years of relevant healthcare experience, preferably in Charge Integrity/Revenue Management. Qualifications Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and collaborate with hospital leadership. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting abilities. Prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Ability to work on a flexible schedule and independently. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Word, Visio, and Outlook. Knowledge of coding certification (e.g., CCS, CPC, RHIA, RHIT), HFMA CHFP, CRCR, or BSN/RN preferred.
