Part-time Firefighter EMT/Paramedic

The City of Worthington is accepting applications for Part-time Firefighter-EMT Basic/Paramedic positions June 10 through July 1. Interested candidates should submit a City Application for Employment and copies of all certifications . Please submit an application using the link below. You may attach your certifications to the application. Once completed and signed, a copy of the application will be sent to the City and a copy will be emailed to you.

City of Worthington Employment Application

A pass/fail physical assessment exercise will be required of all candidates. The physical assessment will take place on Thursday July 23rd and Friday July 24 th between 9 am and 12 pm both days. Candidates will only need to attend one date. Interviews will be held immediately following the physical assessment for those who pass the assessment. The physical assessment and interviews will be held at the Delaware Area Career Center.

Practice sessions will be held on Tuesday July 21st and Wednesday July 22nd between 1pm and 3pm both days at Worthington Fire Department located at 6500 North High Street. Attendance at the practice sessions is voluntary, and you may attend both days if desired

Requirements: Must have Firefighter II certification and EMT B to apply and must be at least 18 years old.

Salary: Part-time Firefighters are scheduled to work 12 or 24 hours every sixth day, with additional hours scheduled as needed. Rate of pay $19.77 per hour for EMTs and $24.15 per hour for Paramedics.
