About the Position

Job Title: Echo Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: Echo Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday, On call every 3 weeks with 2 other techs and 5 hours on Sunday AM Hours per Shift: 30 guaranteed hours Experience: Minimum 0 years License: ARDMS or CCI Registered Certifications: BLS Must-Have: High school diploma or equivalent Associates or bachelor’s degree Description: Position: Echo Tech Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday - Friday, varied, on call. Responsibilities: Perform echocardiograms (transthoracic and transesophageal) according to physician orders and department protocols. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions to alleviate concerns. Position patients appropriately to obtain optimal imaging results while ensuring their comfort and safety. Operate ultrasound equipment to capture clear and accurate images of the heart and associated structures. Analyze acquired images to identify abnormalities, anomalies, and potential pathologies. Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare providers to interpret findings and assist in patient diagnosis and treatment planning. Ensure proper documentation of procedures, including patient information, image acquisition, and interpretation. Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance and image quality. Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines to minimize risks to patients and staff. Participate in quality assurance activities and continuous education to stay current with advances in echocardiography technology and techniques.
