Jr. Security SpecialistJr. Security Specialist Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Assist the team with day-to-day administration and execution of the Corporate Security Program, supporting its continued growth and scalability, including:Maintaining and updating security program documentation, records and filesAssist in managing corporate security SharePoint sites, and other relevant security databasesAssist with corporate security processes, form creation, and plan writingSupport the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) program by implementing proper handling, storage, and dissemination procedures in accordance with regulatory requirementsSupport other Corporate Security initiatives as neededServe as a point of contact for employee requests and questions on general security-related matters, including:Physical security compliance adherence to company policies and industry regulationsPersonnel security to include initiating and maintaining clearance requirements, training and foreign travel briefingsBadge and facility access requestsVisitor control and escort proceduresJr. Security Specialist Position Requirements:Active Secret Security Clearance or equivalent DOE security clearance with ability to obtain a Top-Secret ClearanceKnowledge, experience, and understanding of Industrial SecurityExcellent written and oral communication skills and meticulous attention to detailStrong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively and ability to problem solveProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe AcrobatAbility to work independently as well as within a team environmentOccasional travel to ARA offices as neededPreferences:Working knowledge of government security systems including DISS, NBIS and SWFTDemonstrate the ability to help manage and oversee comprehensive security programsKnowledge of open storage areas, SCIF standards, and Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs)Knowledge of the requirements pertaining to CUIKnowledge of CMMC physical security requirementsKnowledge of communications security (COMSEC)Applied Research Associates, Inc.
