Certified Surgical Technician Mt. San Rafeal Hospital

Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Ensures operating suite is adequately prepared for procedure. Monitors PAR level of all surgical instruments and supplies. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities. Performs other duties as assigned. On-call required. Ability to care for patients of all age groups. EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE Surgical Technologist Certification Must be Registered in State of Colorado Current BLS Certification MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Ortho experience preferred. Three (3) years experience in operating room preferred Must have knowledge of human anatomy and physiology. Ability to ascertain knowledge promptly. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of principles of asepsis Ability to read and understand Basic English Ability to communicate verbally and in writing MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Continuous movement throughout the hospital Intermittent bending, kneeling, and squatting Ability to lift up to 30% of your body weight Continuous standing (up to 7 hours) Ability to interact with patients, families and staff in a professional manner in stressful situations.
