Job Description

A Live Oak, Florida based client is seeking a Family Practice Physician to provide excellent primary care services to the community. An ideal candidate is a self-starting leader who works well in a collaborative environment, is efficient and effective at providing medical care, and values patient centered care. 

Required Qualifications 

\n
• Graduated from an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree
\n
• Current Florida medical license
\n
• Completed an accredited residency program
\n
• Current DEA certificate
\n
• Board certified or board eligible in primary care 
\n
• Current BLS certification
\n
• Spanish preferred
\n

Responsibilities

\n
• Assess and diagnose a variety of diseases and injuries in patients of all ages
\n
• Manage acute and chronic conditions
\n
• Order diagnostic tests and laboratory studies, interpret results and create treatment plans based on results
\n
• Perform therapeutic procedures, manage wounds and injuries, and educate patients on their treatment plans
\n
• Arrange referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services for patients on caseload
\n
• Participates in daily interdisciplinary huddles
\n
• Assist in patient utilization review of services and quality improvement
\n
• Document all patient encounters efficiently and according to policy
\n
