Diagnostic Technologist - Outpatient

This is an 8-hour shift position with a start time of 7:30 AM. Weekend availability may be required.

Job Description

The Diagnostic Technologist's primary responsibilities include the positioning of patients for x-ray imaging of various body parts such as the chest, hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, knee, foot, or ankle. The technologist performs imaging procedures independently, operates x-ray equipment, processes images, and documents into PACS. They provide basic patient care under the supervision of the clinic nurse, which includes obtaining vital signs, preparing patients for clinician evaluations, and assisting clinicians as needed.

Responsibilities

• Position patients for x-ray imaging and perform imaging procedures.
• Operate x-ray equipment and process images for documentation.
• Provide basic patient care under nurse supervision.
• Obtain vital signs and prepare patients for evaluations.
• Maintain an orderly environment with well-stocked supplies and equipment.
• Float to Main Radiology as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the Department of Health Services, State of California.
• Current CPR Certification.
• California issued Fluoroscopy Permit.
• Current ARRT licensure.
• EPIC EMR experience.
• Previous traveler experience preferred.
