Locum Anesthesiologist Opportunity Cardiac Anesthesia

Location: Academic Level I Trauma Center
Assignment Start: August 5, 2026 (ASAP upon credentialing)
Assignment Length: Ongoing through December 2026

Overview:

A premier 187-bed Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist with Cardiac Anesthesia training for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity. This is a hands-on clinical role within a high-acuity environment featuring a strong cardiac surgery program and diverse procedural case mix. The rates are competitive. Travel, lodging, malpractice coverage, and rental vehicle will be provided.

• Monday Friday
• 8 10 hour day shifts
• Unrestricted overnight call
• Weekend hotel call
• Ongoing availability through December 2026
• Preferred start as soon as credentialing is complete

• Invasive & Non-Invasive Cardiology
• Neuro Interventional Radiology
• Bronchoscopy
• MRI anesthesia services
• EMR: Epic

• Cardiac anesthesia cases
• TEE procedures
• Obstetrics
• General anesthesia services across multiple specialties
• Primarily hands-on patient care
• Occasional CRNA supervision as needed

• cardiac surgical cases annually
• Established cardiac surgery team on staff
• High-acuity cardiac and perioperative care environment

• MD/DO
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Cardiac Anesthesia Fellowship (or international equivalent)
• Must have achieved at least Testamur Status in Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography (NBE)
• TEE Certification required
• Experience in cardiac anesthesia required
• Ability to provide obstetric anesthesia coverage
