Quality Specialist

Position Summary As a Quality Specialist, you will support ABB’s production line quality for Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) used in data centers and critical power applications. Reports To Integrated Product Unit Leader Location Richmond, VA – ABB Smart Power division Responsibilities Perform quality inspection on units on the production line. Support production in troubleshooting. Collaborate with quality and cross‑functional teams to address non‑conformances. Ensure proper ESD controls are in place for electronic components throughout the production cycle. Practice and sustain 5S. Propose continuous improvement and lean initiatives. Support the new hire quality training program for the production line. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering or related field, plus minimum of 1 year of experience. Proactive problem‑solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow testing procedures. Skilled in time management. Must have work authorization that permits employment in the U.S. for ABB.
