RN - MedSurg

Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Unit (3x11.5 Shift)

This is a 13-week contract position.

3x11.5 shift; 7 PM - 7 AM with alternating weekends and holidays required.

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care for patients in the Medical Surgical Unit. Responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized care plans, administering medications and therapies, and coordinating patient care with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on comprehensive assessments.
• Initiate resuscitative measures in emergency situations.
• Administer prescribed medications and therapies, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, preventative care, and rehabilitation.
• Document nursing interventions and evaluations accurately and thoroughly.
• Coordinate care with healthcare team members and assist unlicensed personnel as needed.
• Maintain supplies and equipment, ensuring a safe and organized unit environment.
• Promote a culture of professionalism, ethics, and positive interpersonal relationships.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active RN License
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical setting.
• Experience with EPIC EMR is required.
