Full-Time Teller

Overview Grand Rapids State Bank is accepting applications for full and part-time teller positions. Previous teller or cash handling experience preferred. Candidates must have strong customer service skills. Pay Range: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending upon experience. Evaluate customer needs and process transactions accurately, promptly and courteously Verify all cash that is received, exchanged or disbursed Verify identity of all customers before providing account or balance information or disbursing cash Maintain accurate customer records Process night and drop off deposits Thoroughly understand and adhere to customer service expectations Process monetary and non-monetary transactions on customer accounts, including loans, checking and savings accounts and certificates of deposit Operate and balance coin machine Seek opportunities to provide additional bank services to all customers. Develop professional and friendly relationships with customers Initiate sales or referrals by identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate products and services Learn bank products and services to properly direct customers to appropriate department or bank representative Provide customers with updated information and/or brochures Refer an average of at least six customers per month to other departments for services and products Maintain cash drawer following bank policy. Balance drawer regularly and show all work on tape Conduct end of day balancing of cash drawer to insure accuracy of all transactions Verify all cash bought from or sold to vault Maintain adequate cash and coin supply Investigate and resolve drawer offages Close and balance vault at night Perform other duties as directed by management.
