Java/AWS Engineer

Job Summary You've strong experience in dev‑ops activities like dockerization, development of bash code to automate server builds and deployment to continuous deployment servers. You've worked with tools that aid in Continuous integration and Continuous deployment including but not limited to GIT/Stash, Jenkins, Junit, SONAR, uDeploy etc. Knowledge of software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. Location: Roanoke, Texas Job Type: Contract Salary: $69 - 70 per hour Work Hours: 8am to 5pm Education: Bachelor’s Responsibilities 6+ years experience with Java Experience in Server Side Java, J2EE, REST, SQL, JUnit, and Tomcat Experience in coding and implementing Java Batch and event‑driven process. 3+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise cloud‑based solutions using Amazon Cloud Computing Services, including EBS, IAM, SWF, and SQS; performing serverless software development using Amazon Lambda written in NodeJS, Java via REST, or AWS SDK; 3+ years of experience building applications that utilize CI/CD pipelines Qualifications Experience with Oracle PL/SQL and ability to write complex queries Keenly interested in learning new technologies and their adoption Full‑stack engineer with knowledge in a breadth of technologies including but not limited to those identified in the Qualifications section Strong software development skills using Java and web application technologies in a service oriented architecture Some experience designing and developing enterprise cloud‑based solutions using Amazon Cloud Computing Services, including EBS, IAM, SWF, and SQS; performing serverless software development using Amazon Lambda written in NodeJS, Java via REST, or AWS SDK; coding, storing, retrieving, and versioning S3 objects, Kinesis and SQS streams Equal Opportunity Employer Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.
