About the Organization Security Benefit Academy is a premier early childcare and education center located in Topeka, Kansas. Position Overview Associate Teacher – full‑time, four 10‑hour days per week, based at the home office in Topeka, Kansas. Responsibilities Develop and execute a program of activities that engage children in STEM and Fine Arts. Maintain a positive, warm, encouraging environment that follows all health and safety requirements. Establish and maintain a daily schedule, prepare and implement weekly lesson plans. Implement Conscious Discipline in the classroom and provide age‑appropriate outdoor activities. Monitor, mentor, and guide camp teachers. Continuously supervise and interact with children individually and in groups. Carry out lesson plans established by the Classroom Teacher throughout the center. Cover center rooms when the primary teacher is on PTO. Float the building, give PC’s breaks. Adhere to all licensing regulations, center policies, and procedures. Qualifications At least 18 years old. College degree in Early Childhood or a related field. 1–3 years of experience working with children in a licensed childcare facility. Respectful and caring mindset toward children. Basic understanding of child growth and development. Good verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to function effectively as part of a team. Positive attitude and flexibility. Light to medium lifting required; able to lift up to 40 lbs, 50 lbs in emergencies. Able to walk, stand, and work inside and outside year‑round.
