They will assist with performing radiologic exams, preparing and monitoring patients, documenting clinical information, and ensuring high-quality imaging results whilemaintaining radiation safety and healthcare compliance standards.Job TasksDemonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide excellent patient care.Under the direct supervision and guidance of a radiologist, perform various diagnostic radiology procedures/exams.Administers and/or orders intravenous medication and contrast media, under the supervision of a Radiologist.Evaluates medical images, reviews preliminary reports and images with a supervising Radiologist.Dictates technical reports that will be reviewed and signed off by the supervising Radiologist.Verify and review referring clinician's order prior to performing exam and determine appropriateness of exam/procedure ordered.Reviews images and provides feedback of studies performed by the supervising radiologist.Responsible for gaining consents for procedures, pre/post procedure order-writing, and dictating in PACS.Must be proficient in performing arthrograms.Educational RequirementBachelor’s DegreeGraduation from an accredited RRA/RPA formal education programRegistered as a Radiologist Assistant by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)Licensed as a Radiologist Assistant in the State of MassachusettsSkills and CompetenciesAdvanced knowledge of MRI imaging proceduresPatient assessment and clinical history reviewRadiation safety and protection protocolsClear Understanding of Imaging modalitiesImage quality evaluation and optimizationExcellent Communication skills and compassionate bedside mannerAttention to detail and the ability to critically thinkUnderstanding of HIPPA and patient confidentialityAbility to work with a team and collaborate with Radiologists and technologistsAdditional Job Description:We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
