Make an impact in the lives of students as a part-time Occupational Therapist supporting middle schoolers in a dynamic educational setting near Douglasville, GA. In this contract position, you’ll use your clinical expertise to help two 5th and 6th grade students reach their full potential. Your services will directly support their progress within the classroom and ensure their unique needs are met according to individualized education plans (IEPs).

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Georgia Occupational Therapist license and GaPSC certification (both required)
• Preference for candidates with prior school-based OT experience and a background working with students with disabilities
• Ability to provide documentation for required background clearance
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Onsite services only

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver 30 minutes of direct occupational therapy services weekly for each assigned student, in line with their IEPs
• Evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities in the context of their educational environment
• Collaborate with teachers, special education team members, and other professionals to support student success
• Recommend classroom strategies and accommodations to enhance student participation
• Monitor progress and maintain accurate, timely documentation
• Participate in regular team meetings and communication regarding student needs and progress
• Ensure delivery of services adheres to established IEPs and compliance regulations
