This position requires 12-hour shifts during the day, with weekends scheduled as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room will provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This position involves scrubbing procedures in various specialties, including but not limited to OB/GYN, Neuro, Vascular, Endo Vascular, Ortho, Plastics, and ENT. The nurse will work collaboratively with a diverse surgical team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room and surgical instruments.
• Provide direct patient care, monitoring vital signs and responding to patient needs during surgery.
• Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and effective operation of procedures.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred.
• Experience in scrubbing for surgical procedures is essential.
• A current nursing license is required to practice in the specified state.
• Charge Nurse or House Supervisor experience is a plus.
