Senior Business Analyst - Operations IT

AstraZeneca seeks a Senior Business Analyst to bridge manufacturing operations and IT at the Frederick, Maryland facility. The role involves partnering with cross-functional teams to translate operational challenges into technology solutions, with accountability for requirements design, solution evaluation, delivery support, and continuous improvement in a regulated, biologics manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Engage stakeholders to understand priorities and translate business needs into technology roadmaps
- Lead process design workshops and produce requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Evaluate solution options with product owners, architects, and suppliers for scalability and alignment
- Investigate operational incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve issues affecting production
- Support delivery lifecycle activities including UAT, defect triage, deployment, and hypercare support
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years business analysis, IT delivery, or manufacturing technology in complex operations
- Strong requirements elicitation, process mapping, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with complex, integrated IT systems and data flow understanding
- Hands-on collaboration with architects, developers, and technology suppliers
- Knowledge of regulated industry practices, GxP, data integrity, and compliance
- Understanding of AI, automation, analytics, and digital transformation applications
