Custom Software Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Custom Software Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Raleigh, NC . The ideal candidate must have strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced support environment. Rate Range: $15/hour to $19/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Custom Software Engineer job responsibilities include: Respond to user requests, questions, and technical issues through phone, email, and support ticket channels. Troubleshoot and resolve application, system, and user access issues in a timely and professional manner. Provide customer support for application-related inquiries and assist with billing-related questions when required. Develop and maintain knowledge of supported applications, financial system interfaces, and customer registration systems. Document incidents, requests, resolutions, and troubleshooting activities within the ticket management system. Escalate complex issues to appropriate support teams and ensure proper follow-up through resolution. Collaborate with help desk team members to improve service quality and customer satisfaction. Adhere to established service level agreements (SLAs) and support processes while maintaining a customer-focused approach. Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities. Customer service-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality support. Experience using Microsoft Office applications including: Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office applications. Experience working in Help Desk, Customer Support, Technical Support, or Service Desk environments. Familiarity with ServiceNow or other IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms. Experience supporting business applications, customer service processes, or enterprise systems. Knowledge of incident management and ticketing system best practices.
