Physician Advisor - Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center

Overview Atlantic Health is seeking a full-time Physician Advisor to join our team at Overlook Medical Center, located in Summit, New Jersey. Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare systems, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physician Advisor to provide clinical direction and leadership to the organization, with a focus on producing best-practice patient outcomes grounded in quality, legal, ethical, regulatory, and reimbursement parameters. As a peer to physicians and a consultant to Case Management and administration, the Physician Advisor intervenes when practice patterns or behaviors create disparities between pathway standards, intensity of service, severity of illness, patient and family rights, teamwork, or other issues regarding stewardship of resources for individual patients and diagnostic populations. Salary Range: $250,000–$280,000 base salary only; excludes incentives Responsibilities Provide clinical direction and leadership to the organization to improve patient outcomes within quality, legal, ethical, regulatory, and reimbursement parameters. Act as a peer to physicians and a consultant to Case Management and administration. Intervene when practice patterns or behaviors create disparities related to pathway standards, intensity of service, severity of illness, patient and family rights, teamwork, or resource stewardship.
