This role focuses on identifying prospective clients, conducting outreach, and presenting tailored marketing solutions that leverage direct mail, print, and digital channels. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a sales pipeline, meeting with business owners and marketing decision-makers, preparing proposals, and negotiating contracts. The Sales Specialist will collaborate with internal marketing and operations teams to ensure campaigns are accurately scoped, launched on time, and optimized for performance. The role also involves maintaining strong customer relationships, providing ongoing support, and participating in training and development to stay current on media products and industry trends.QualificationsStrong Communication and Customer Service skills to build relationships, understand client needs, and provide responsive support.Proven Sales experience with the ability to prospect, qualify leads, and close deals in a consultative selling environment.Experience in Training or coaching, and Sales Management or leadership of sales activities, is beneficial.Comfort working with marketing and advertising solutions, including digital and print media, and the ability to explain these offerings clearly.Goal-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.Proficiency with CRM systems and common office software (e.G., email, spreadsheets, presentations) to track activity and prepare client materials.Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, collaborating in-office in Madison, WI and independently from home.Prior experience in media, marketing, or advertising sales is preferred; a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is an advantage.
