divh2Part-Time Bus Driver/h2pThe Camden City School District will provide a learning environment where all students are valued, accepted, and prepared to positively impact their lives, the community and the world./ph3Role Overview/h3pThe Part-time Bus Driver operates a school bus to provide transportation to students on a regularly scheduled route, to and from school sites during the school day and after school hours, and on school-sponsored field trips./ph3Minimum Requirements/h3ulliMust be at least 21 years of age/liliMust have a driving record in good standing for the last 3 years (via drivers abstract)/liliMust have a Commercial Drivers License issued by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission, with Passenger and School Bus Endorsements/liliRequired criminal history background check, physical and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status/liliA valid NJ Drivers license/liliAbility to lift at least 20 lbs/li/ulh3Role Responsibilities/h3pMajor roles and responsibilities include:/pulliSafely transporting student passengers in a safe, courteous and reliable manner/liliAssisting in the boarding of passengers in wheelchairs/liliPerform assigned runs as designed by Transportation manager/liliPerform daily safety and maintenance inspections as required/liliClean and maintain vehicle on a daily basis/liliMaintain discipline, safety, and responsible leadership at all times/liliTrain students on emergency procedures/liliMeet with parents, principals, and Transportation Supervisor when required/liliPerform all other duties as may be assigned/li/ulh3Core Competencies/h3pAn ideal candidate for this role will demonstrate the following and/or have experiences with:/pulliDemonstrated knowledge of the principles, methods and procedures governing the operation of school buses and trucks/liliThe traffic laws of the State of New Jersey/liliThe geography of the city and current traffic conditions/liliRequirements to operate a motor vehicle having an automatic transmission/liliPerforming light manual tasks if required by work assignment/liliIndustry standards in transportation safety/liliDemonstrated ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions/liliEstablish and maintain effective working relationships/li/ulh3Core Values/h3pWe are seeking individuals who will exemplify the Districts core values:/pulliRespect and Humility/liliEvidence-based/liliCommunication Collaboration/liliSolutions-oriented/li/ulpReports To Evaluated By Manager, Driver Support/ppSalary Range: $25/Per Hour (Part-time) (Pending availability of funds and Superintendents approval)/ppThe Camden City School District is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer./p/div
