And that’s where you come in.Job Description:Hitachi Rail is looking for a Principal Project RAMS Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Brisbane, Australia.Key Accountabilities: Manage RAMS and V&V activities for complex projects, ensuring they align with project budgets, schedules, and quality standards. Ensure compliance with system safety and reliability requirements. Oversee RAMS project staffing and documentation issuance. Ensure the safety assessment (ISA) certification (NoBo). Monitor workloads, align RAMS schedules with project timelines, and proactively manage risks to prevent issues. Contribute to training, process improvement and support bid preparation while upholding safety standards. Required Skills / Knowledge:Engineering Degree or equivalent. Safety analysis (e.g., FMEA, HAZOP), Safety Case development, Safety Plan creation. Application of safety standards (e.g., EN50126, EN50128, EN50129, IEC 61508). Required Experience:At least ten years of experience in signalling or another safety critical engineering area. At least ten years of RAMS experience in the use of appropriate safety engineering techniques, such as PHA, FTA, FMEA etc.At Hitachi Rail, we know that a diverse business is a sustainable business.
