Location: Bend, OR
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Pay: $32.00

Position Summary


A well-established property management and financial services organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join its team. This position is responsible for billing, accounts receivable, collections, account reconciliation, and related accounting functions for multiple client accounts. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and possess strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and manage all billing transactions accurately and efficiently
• Apply customer payments and manage lockbox imports
• Process refunds and returned checks
• Research and resolve customer account issues
• Send past-due statements and conduct collection efforts
• Prepare collection correspondence and coordinate third-party collections when necessary
• Maintain accurate aging reports and reconcile accounts receivable to the general ledger
• Prepare journal entries and perform general ledger coding
• Maintain and update customer account records
• Provide reports and account information to client representatives as requested
• Assist with special projects and additional accounting duties as assigned
• Perform general office and administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• 2-3 years of Accounts Receivable, Collections, and/or Accounts Payable experience
• Strong understanding of billing processes and financial concepts
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience with property management or community management software is a plus
• Excellent organizational, follow-up, and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Homeowner Association (HOA) or property management accounting experience is preferred but not required
