About the Role: Retail Loan Product Management

The Product Manager will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between IT and various subject matter experts across the bank. This role requires a deep understanding of both technology and business processes and is essential for ensuring that our technology solutions align with and support the bank’s business objectives and goals. The Product Manager will work closely with technology partners and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational efficiency of these solutions while providing ongoing support to internal customers. 

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical expert for loan related systems and solutions, ensuring the system’s functionality meets the bank’s needs and enhances operational workflows.
• Work closely with bank leaders, IT, and Systems Integration to identify areas for improvement and provide solutions to enhance system performance and functionality throughout all banking applications with a focus on an exceptional user experience.
• Lead the implementation of system upgrades and enhancements, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal impact on bank operations. 
• Manage operational requests such as creating rules around workflow, validation, fields, advanced formulas, custom objects, flows, etc. 
• Identify unused or underutilized solution features that can raise the bar for the business and solution. 
• Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot system issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimize disruptions to operations.
• Provide initial as well as ongoing training and support on use of the bank technology solutions effectively, ensuring adherence to industry standards and internal policies.
• Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to ensure the system is up-to-date and aligned with evolving bank requirements.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation related to system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
• Participate and/or Lead in system testing, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing for system updates or new functionality. Develop quality control metrics and communicate deficiencies to management
• Develop reports, custom report types, dashboards and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity. Analyze data and performance metrics to identify trends, improve decision-making, and support bank strategies.
• Attend webinars, training, and conferences to maintain a full understanding of the capabilities and functionality of all applications we use within the solution(s). 
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and banking industry standards related to loan operations. 
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of experience in retail lending, loan operations, consumer lending, mortgage lending, banking technology, or related banking functions. 
• Strong understanding of retail lending processes, underwriting workflows, loan operations, and customer lending experience. 
• Experience administering or supporting loan origination systems, preferably Encompass. 
• Knowledge of Fiserv Premier, Encompass, and related banking applications preferred. 
• Experience leading system implementations, upgrades, process improvements, or technology projects. 
• Strong understanding of workflow design, automation, and process optimization. 
• Ability to bridge business and technical teams and translate operational needs into practical solutions. 
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. 
• Experience developing reports, dashboards, and performance metrics. 
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization. 
• Knowledge of consumer lending regulations and banking compliance requirements is preferred.
