CALDWELL MEDICAL CENTERJOB DESCRIPTIONJOB TITLE: CourierDEPARTMENT: Caldwell Medical AssociatesREPORTS TO: Clinic Operations DirectorPOSITION SUMMARY:Provides timely courier service by responding to department requests to meet hospital and affiliate needs. Courier will be responsible for the pickup, transport, and delivery of medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports, while providing excellent service to our clients. Operating hours for this position will be 9:30-6 with a 30-minute lunch.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Make prompt delivery and pick-up of confidential hospital documents and legal records for hospital documents by adhering to an established schedule in a timely and efficient manner in order to assist the hospital and its affiliates in expediting hospital business.Load all necessary suppliers needed for the daily pickupsComplete daily pick-up schedule in a timely mannerDeliver all daily picks to clinics at the end of your shiftHandle all specimens and lab samples in a safe and efficient mannerSafely operate a company vehicle and obey all traffic lawsUtilize electronic devices to manage daily picks upWork directly with manager for additional pick-ups as neededEvaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as neededPerforms other duties as assigned.ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONSTemperature changes: variations in temperature from hot to cold.
