Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 3 years of OR experience, Level I trauma background, and circulate experience at a teaching hospital.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room department of a Level I Trauma, teaching, children's hospital providing short-term acute care
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule with 4x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend requirement of 2-3 shifts per month
• On-call requirement of 24-36 hours per month during day shift
• No floating required outside of scope
• No block scheduling accommodations available
• Uses Cerner charting system
• Purple scrubs provided

Requirements

• Active RN license (NM or Compact) required, pending license accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room RN experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Circulate experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• RQI certifications not accepted

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a Level I Trauma, teaching, children's hospital OR setting
• Must work 2 of the 3 holiday bundles: Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, or New Year's Eve & New Year's Day
• COVID vaccine is optional; facility requires reporting of vaccination status or declination
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Requests for RTO greater than 7 days require approval
• No RTO permitted during the first 7 days or on the last day of the contract
