Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM (end times may vary based on procedures) | Call Requirements: 6–8 days per month

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients in the PACU setting, collaborating with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, and Surgical staff
• Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and facility policies and procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in anticipating and planning for the safe delivery of patient care
• Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of PACU experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Stroke certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume surgical or perioperative environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and direct ancillary patient care staff
