Cashier - Part Time

About the Role As a Cashier, you play an essential role in the customer service experience by providing customers with fast and friendly service. You will process transactions, answer questions, and ensure customers leave feeling positive about their visit.You may also be assigned as a sales associate or merchandiser/stock associate. Internally you will be referred to Front End Team Member and report to the store management team. Responsibilities Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including identification verification, payment handling, answering inquiries, promoting the loyalty program, and bagging products. Deliver exceptional service and a personalized experience by greeting customers, engaging to build relationships, and informing them about products and services. Participate in wine, spirits, and beverage training to build product knowledge. Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs. Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store. Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol and maintain a safe and compliant store environment. Complete cross‑functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 1–3 years of work experience; 1+ year in a retail setting preferred. Familiarity with point‑of‑sale systems and inventory management software. Passion for best‑in‑class customer service and a team‑player mindset. Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends. Physical Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older. Walk, bend down repeatedly, and be on feet for 8–10 hours a day. Ability to safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets. Climb ladders and lift 50 lbs. overhead repeatedly. May be exposed to various outdoor weather conditions throughout the workday. Pay Range: $16.43 – $23.00 hourly (actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage). The anticipated close date of this posting is 120 days from the posted date. Position may be seasonal. If the job posting is coded as a seasonal role, anticipate a short‑term position no longer than six months, with the option to apply for a non‑seasonal role.
