Senior Thermal Design Engineer

You'll design and optimize shell-and-tube and gasketed plate heat exchangers, owning projects from thermal rating through manufacturing support alongside a world-class global team of thermal professionals pushing the boundaries of heat transfer technology. Software Simulation: Utilize HTRI and other packages along with API proprietary programs. Spec Verification: Review customer data sheets, piping diagrams, and process specifications. Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with mechanical design engineers to ensure code compliance to ASME, CRN, PED, ABS, and other relevant codes. Client Consultation: Provide technical support to sales teams and interface directly with clients on an as-needed basis. What You Will Bring Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Master’s degree preferred. Accreditation: Degree must be from an ABET-accredited university. Experience: 3 to 5 years of professional experience in thermal design. Exchanger Expertise: Proven track record sizing shell-and-tube and plate heat exchangers for single and multi-phase fluids. Software Skills: Proficient with HTRI or Aspen EDR software. Fluid Dynamics: Strong foundational knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer. Communication: Clear technical writing and verbal communication skills. English proficiency required. Preferred Qualifications Industry Standards: Familiarity with TEMA standards and ASME Section VIII, Division 1. Research & Development: Experience with laboratory testing of thermal products.
