Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist for an inpatient hospital setting requiring 3+ years of experience including OB, breast, and general sonography.

Details

• Inpatient hospital setting
• 3 12-hour evening/night shifts per week, typically 1:45 PM-2:00 AM on variable days
• 36 weekly hours
• Majority of cases are OB and general ultrasound
• May float between inpatient and outpatient settings
• Weekend coverage as needed
• On-call requirements include one 24-hour shift per week (typically Monday) and one rotating Saturday/Sunday shift every 6 weeks
• May be placed on-call for additional variable shifts to help cover PTO
• Holiday coverage as needed

Requirements

• 3+ years of total experience as an Ultrasound Technologist including inpatient setting experience
• Experience with OB anatomy, breast, and general ultrasound required
• Musculoskeletal, vascular (venous studies), and neonatal head and hip experience preferred
• Experience with order review in outpatient settings and assisting with protocols required
• ARDMS or ARRT-Ultrasound certification required (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification required
• Travel experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing diagnostic ultrasound exams and assisting with outpatient order review and protocol development
• A vehicle for transportation is recommended due to winter conditions
• Fingerprints must be mailed to the Alaska Department of Health and Services within 48 hours of offer acceptance
