We are currently seeking a Recreational Therapist (CTRS) to join our Clinical Services Department. This non-exempt position reports directly to the Director of Clinical Social Services and plays a key role in providing therapeutic activities that support patients’ emotional, cognitive, and physical well-being. We are currently seeking a Recreational Therapist (CTRS) to join our Clinical Services Department. This non-exempt position reports directly to the Director of Clinical Social Services and plays a key role in providing therapeutic activities that support patients’ emotional, cognitive, and physical well-being. Key Responsibilities Deliver a full range of recreational therapy services, including assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions, in accordance with professional standards and ethical guidelines. Plan, schedule, and lead activities designed to improve leisure skills, socialization, physical fitness, cognitive functioning, and creativity (e.g., arts and crafts, exercise, group activities). Collaborate with the interdisciplinary clinical team to support each patient's overall psychosocial needs. Track patient participation, monitor progress, and document therapeutic outcomes accurately and timely. Facilitate and document individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring detailed, compliant clinical notes. Participate in psychiatric medication management meetings with patients and psychiatrists as needed. Observe and provide feedback on patient engagement during activities, adjusting plans as necessary to meet individualized goals. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Recreational Therapy, physiology, psychology, human anatomy, CTRS, or a related experienced. Strong documentation skills and attention to detail. Ability to engage with diverse patient populations with compassion, creativity, and professionalism. Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
