Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Role: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) responsible for providing immediate medical care and transport during emergencies. Key Duties Respond to emergency calls, assess patient conditions, and determine appropriate interventions. Transport patients safely to medical facilities, monitoring and providing care en route. Administer life-saving measures such as CPR, bleeding control, airway management, and utilize medical equipment like defibrillators and oxygen systems. Coordinate with other emergency personnel and hospital staff, ensuring proper patient care documentation. Maintain emergency vehicle and equipment readiness, assist in lifting and moving patients in challenging environments. Participate in ongoing training to stay current with protocols, demonstrating professionalism under pressure and in hazardous conditions. Qualifications & Skills Valid NYS Basic EMT license and BLS certification (AHA preferred). If not AHA, must obtain within 3 months. Valid driver’s license and ability to perform heavy physical work, including lifting up to 250 lbs with assistance. Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures and ability to work under stress.
