Customer Service Representative First Shift

Fitness Club Front Desk AssociateThis job is full time and will require you to work one weekend day. Shift is 6am to 2pm.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesGreet members, prospective members and guests by providing exceptional customer serviceHandle all front desk related activities not limited to: Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.Check ID and Member barcodes into the systemNew member sign-upTake prospective members on a tour of the clubFacilitate needed updates to member's accountsRespond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Assistant Club Manager as neededAssist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the clubAssist in monitoring for safety of persons and cleanliness in the clubThoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, locker room areas, fitness equipment and gym floor.Stock locker rooms with proper supplies/paper products.Report any broken or missing amenities or equipment (Toilets, faucets, showers, hair dryers, gym equipment etc.) to the Club Manager.Follow "Lost and Found Policy" and turn in lost member property to the Club Manager/Assistant Club Manager immediately.Qualifications/RequirementsCustomer service background preferredBasic computer proficiencyA passion for fitness and healthUpbeat and positive attitude at all timesPunctuality and reliability is a mustExceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding the member's expectationsStrong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solveDemonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and languageHigh School diploma/GED equivalent preferredMust be 18 years of age or olderPhysical DemandsContinual standing and walking during shiftContinual talking in person with members and answering incoming membership callsMust be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbsWill dilute and clean with chemicals during shiftClean and sanitize equipment and often used surfaces in the clubMonitor club and assist members throughout entirety of shiftCompensation: $13.00 per hourWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
