Assignment Type: Direct hire

Pay: $100,000–$165,000 annually, plus a target 15% bonus

Work Schedule: On-site Monday through Thursday; remote Friday

We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer to help shape and implement the organization’s cybersecurity architecture. This hands-on role will assess security gaps, build and maintain protective systems, respond to incidents, and provide technical guidance to other IT team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy security solutions that support business needs and compliance requirements.
• Assess the current environment, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend practical improvements.
• Develop and maintain security policies, technical standards, and operating procedures.
• Build and support security capabilities using SIEM, data loss prevention, intrusion prevention, and related tools.
• Monitor security systems, manage access and provisioning activities, and investigate incidents.
• Help resolve urgent production security issues through occasional on-call support.
• Guide other IT professionals on secure practices and cybersecurity projects.

Qualifications:

• Approximately 6–10 years of hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience.
• Strong background in security architecture, including building or substantially improving security infrastructure.
• Experience implementing and managing SIEM, DLP, and IPS technologies.
• Solid understanding of networking, servers, storage, and how to secure them.
• Ability to lead technical decisions and mentor colleagues.
• Sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information.
• A degree or security certification is a plus; relevant work experience is the priority.

Additional Details:

This position works with a seven-person security team that includes another senior team member and five early- to mid-career analysts and engineers. The interview process is expected to include a video conversation, an on-site technical discussion, and a final culture conversation.
